Drafted into the AFL as number one pick in 2013 he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, then a year later, with a move to another club and a seven figure contract the weight got even heavier. With huge expectations but a healthy bank balance his mental health struggled. Lots of sleepless nights led to anxiety and depression which eventually led to early retirement at the age of 23. In the middle of his battles he managed to play some good football and was an integral part of the Western Bulldogs 2016 premiership team.
